Express Entry System
Since it was launched in January 2015, the Express Entry System has become the most popular immigration system offering permanent residency to qualified candidates.
The Express Entry system is not an Immigration Program, but rather, an application system through which applicants submit their Initial applications (Expression of Interest). Qualified applicants who apply under the Express Entry system can qualify for one or more immigration programs including: 1- Federal Skilled Worker Program, 2-Canadian Experience Class, 3- Federal Skilled Trades, and/or 4- participating Provincial Nomination Program offered by Canadian Provinces.
Applicants who successfully submit their applications under the Express Entry System are called candidates. If eligible, candidate profiles will be entered into the pool of candidates and ranked against each other based on a ranking system called Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). The highest-ranking candidates will Invitations to Apply for Permanent Residency under one of the above-mentioned immigration programs.
